About tg Fix Elastic Net Tubular Bandage

What it is & how it helps

tg fix is a large-mesh, highly elastic tubular net bandage that holds dressings in place without any adhesive on the skin. It stretches to fit almost any part of the body, from fingers to limbs to the trunk, conforming with no bunching, so it's comfortable for longer wear. Because it's ladderproof, you can cut it anywhere without it fraying. This is Size C, for larger extremities such as an arm or leg.

What you can use it for

tg fix net is used to:

  • Hold wound dressings or pads in place without tape
  • Secure dressings on hard-to-tape areas (fingers, joints, head, trunk)
  • Apply over occlusive films or padding

Choose the size that matches the body area. This is Size C (larger extremities). Apply over clean, intact skin.

tg fix net vs tg tubular band: which one holds your dressing

Both are tube-shaped bandages that hold a dressing without sticky tape, so the difference is in the material. Choose this elastic net when you want a light, very stretchy mesh that grips dressings on awkward areas like a head, hip or shoulder, and choose the stretch tubular band when you want a softer cotton-rich sleeve over a limb with a little extra support.

tg Fix Net, Size C (this page)Holding dressings on awkward or large areas where you want minimal bulkLightweight elastic net tubular, Size C (65 cm x 25 m stretched) (Lohmann & Rauscher)
tg Tubular Band, Size 9Holding dressings and padding on larger limbs or the head, with light supportCotton-rich stretch tubular band, 8.5 cm flat width (Lohmann & Rauscher 77364)

One box stretches a long way, so cut the length you need and pull it over the dressing. Size C suits an arm or leg; pick a larger size letter for the trunk.

How to use

  1. Cut a length of net a little longer than the area you're covering.
  2. Gather the net and stretch it open with your fingers.
  3. Slide it over the dressing so it holds the dressing flat against the skin.
  4. Adjust so it sits smoothly without digging in.
  5. To check or change the dressing, lift or pull back the net rather than removing it.

Frequently asked questions

What is tg fix net for?

It holds wound dressings and pads in place without any adhesive, which is useful on areas that are hard to tape.

Does it stick to my skin?

No. It holds by gentle elastic tension, so there's no sticky residue and no adhesive trauma to the skin.

What size should I choose?

tg fix comes in sizes A to E by body area. This is Size C, suited to larger extremities such as an arm or leg.

Can I reuse it?

Yes. It can be washed and reused until it loses its elasticity.

Will it fray if I cut it?

No. It's ladderproof, so you can cut it at any point without it fraying.

How do I change the dressing?

Just lift or pull back the net to reach the wound, then slide it back into place, with no re-taping needed.

Does it contain latex?

Check the packaging for the exact materials. If you have a latex allergy, please confirm before use.

Is it FSA/HSA eligible?

Dressing-retention bandages used for wound care are generally an FSA/HSA-eligible medical supply. Check your plan if unsure.

Perfect after knee replacement surgery

After each knee replacement I was sent home with a large bandage and a stretchy wrap like this holding it on. It is so much more comfortable than using tape, holds the bandage well, and did not hurt at all. It stretches to fit your leg. I'll be keeping it for any future leg or arm injuries so we don't have to deal with medical tape anymore.

Cannot praise this enough

It stretches wonderfully to fit over my upper arm and hold my glucose sensor in place. I cut a piece wide enough to cover the sensor and most of the surrounding tape. No binding, no crimping, no discomfort. Holds it in place until I remove it.

Worked well when I cut a large enough piece

This netting works well at holding bandages over my long, mostly healed abdominal incision. I had to learn to cut a wider section; my first attempts were too narrow and shifted. Otherwise it held well and was fairly comfortable.

Perfect

I love how it fits, we can use it for a child or an adult. It helped keep the bandages in place and clean after burns on my hand. I like that I could cut a small hole in it and it didn't tear any further than what I cut. Excellent product!

Not for me

I generally really like this company's products but I found this particular finger wrap to have far too wide-spaced openings in the netting, making it not suitable for retaining the bandages I applied.
