About IDontix X-Floss Lite

What it is & how it helps

X-Floss Lite is a thinner version of IDontix X-Floss, with the same firm nylon threader attached to each strand. The stiff threader guides the floss easily under braces wires, bridges and implants, and the spongy floss then expands to clean, while the slimmer profile fits tighter contacts and smaller gaps. It's made for anyone with fixed dental work who needs to reach snug spots.

What it's for

X-Floss Lite is ideal for cleaning around:

  • Braces and orthodontic wires with tight contacts
  • Bridges, implants and crowns
  • Tilted teeth and snug gum spaces

Which X-Floss is right for you

Choose the blue X-Floss Lite if you need a thinner strand for tight contacts, bridges or implants; choose the green Brace X-Floss if you wear fixed braces and want fuller floss that cleans around brackets and wires. Both come 30 strands per pack with a built in nylon threader.

IDontix Brace X-Floss GreenCleaning around braces, brackets and wiresFirmer threader, fuller spongy floss, 30 strands

Both are made by IDontix and share the same threader-and-floss design. Lite has a thinner strand for the tightest gaps, while the green version gives you more floss to work around braces.

How to use

  1. Take one pre-cut strand.
  2. Use the firm threader end to guide the floss under the wire or bridge, or between teeth.
  3. Pull the floss through until the spongy section sits against the surface.
  4. Use a gentle back-and-forth 'shoe-shine' motion to clean.
  5. Move to the next gap with a fresh section or strand.

Frequently asked questions

What is X-Floss Lite used for?

Cleaning around braces, bridges, implants and other fixed dental work, especially where contacts are tight.

How is the Lite different from the green X-Floss?

It's thinner, so it fits tighter spaces more easily, while keeping the same built-in threader.

Will it work with braces?

Yes. It's designed for orthodontic wires, and the firm threader guides the floss under the wire.

How many strands are in a pack?

30 pre-cut strands.

Is it easier than a separate floss threader?

Yes. The firm threader is attached and won't buckle, so there's nothing extra to thread.

Which should I choose, Lite or standard?

Choose Lite for tight contacts and smaller gaps; choose the standard green X-Floss for more spacing or heavier plaque.

Can I reuse a strand?

Use a fresh section for each area for the best hygiene; strands are intended for single use.

How often should I use it?

Once a day as part of your normal routine, or as your dentist or orthodontist advises.

Easy to use

Recently had surgery for four-on-four implants and this floss works great! Easy to insert and easy to remove. Bonus is you just rinse and it can be used many times.

Cleans really well between my teeth

I feel like this floss cleans deeper between the teeth and gums because it is thicker and wider. I love the attached floss threaders, which help get the floss between areas where my teeth are tighter. My hygienist recommended it as a great alternative to regular floss.

Wonderful product

Love these flosses for dental bridges. I hope you continue to carry them because you can't find these in the pharmacies!

Great for tight teeth and wider gaps

I have composite veneers and love this floss. I feel like it does a better job than normal floss and it's easy to get started with the threading plastic piece.
