The Hollister Adapt Slim CeraRing Barrier Rings offer a lower-profile, customizable skin barrier for ostomy care. Ideal for users who prefer a slimmer ring.
Barrier rings are soft, mouldable seals that sit between your skin and your ostomy wafer (the adhesive part of your pouching system). They fill the small gaps and uneven spots around your stoma so output can't sneak underneath, the most common cause of leaks and sore skin. Hollister's CeraRing rings are infused with ceramide, a natural component of healthy skin, to help protect the delicate peristomal skin, the skin right around your stoma. This 2" slim version is flat and low-profile for a discreet, comfortable fit.
A flat ring lies level against your skin, rather than curving outward like a convex ring. Flat rings suit many people, especially when:
If your stoma is flush or retracted, or you've had leaks with flat products, a convex ring may suit you better. Your stoma care nurse can help you choose.
The slim 2-inch 8815 suits smaller protruding stomas and a lower profile; size up to the 4-inch 8805 for more coverage, pick the convex ring for a flush or retracted stoma, or choose SoftFlex for a softer, more flexible ring.
| Ring | Best for | Shape and width |

Not sure which fits your stoma? Your stoma care nurse can confirm whether a flat or convex ring suits the shape of your stoma.
Healthy skin is the foundation of a secure seal. Change your ring before it's fully worn. For most people that's every few days, but trust how your skin feels. If you notice redness or irritation that doesn't settle, check in with your stoma care nurse. CeraRing's ceramide formula is designed to support your skin between changes, not replace good routine care.
A flat ring lies level against your skin; a convex ring curves outward to apply light pressure around the stoma. Flat rings suit stomas that protrude at or above skin level, while convex is usually chosen for flush or retracted stomas.
Slim rings have a lower profile than standard rings, so they sit more discreetly and comfortably under clothing while still giving a secure seal. This one is 2" wide.
You mould them, so no cutting is needed. The soft, flexible material stretches and shapes by hand so you can match your stoma's size and shape, and you can stack two rings for extra height.
Yes. CeraRing's adhesive is infused with ceramide, a lipid found naturally in healthy skin. It's included to help maintain the skin's moisture barrier around your stoma while improving the seal, which helps because peristomal skin meets adhesives and output every day.
They're designed to. By filling gaps and creating a secure, even seal around the stoma, barrier rings reduce the chance of output reaching your skin.
It varies by person and routine. Many people change their ring with each pouching-system change, every few days. Change sooner if the seal starts to weaken. A box of 10 covers roughly a month of typical use.
Yes. CeraRing barrier rings are not made with natural rubber latex.
Yes. Ostomy barrier rings are an eligible medical expense, so you can pay with your FSA or HSA funds. If your plan resets at year-end, it's worth reordering before unused funds expire.
